Acoustic Jam at Mother Brook, Book Signing and More Happening in Dedham This Weekend

  • Showcase Cinema de Lux in Legacy Place in Dedham will be showing The Best of Keane: Live from Berlin on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 8 p.m.  Contact the box office for more information at 1-800-315-4000.
  • The Dedham Retired Men's Club will be having a meeting on Friday, Jan. 24 at 9:30 a.m. at the Endicott Estate in Dedham.  Dedham Fire Chief William Spillane will speak about the department's history and the techniques of fire fighting.
  • The Dedham School of Music will have its monthly Acoustic Jam event at the Mother Brooks Arts and Community Center, 123 High St. on Friday, Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m.
  • The Dedham Library Innovation Team is inviting everyone to a free screening of the award-winning documentary, "The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia" on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 9:30 a.m.  The screening will be shown at the Dedham Community Theatre.
  • And Meet illustrators Melissa Guion and Jen Corace at The Blue Bunny Bookstore, 577 High St. in Dedham, on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 11 a.m.  They will be celebrating their newest works for young children with a reading and drawing demonstration, as well as a book signing.
