Championship Games for Dedham 10's and Softball 12U Team Postponed

The Dedham 10's will be playing their championship game today at 3 p.m. However, the date for Dedham's 12U softball championship game is still being determined.

The Dedham 10's and Dedham's softball 12U team were both suppose to play their championship games Thursday night. However, due to the rain they were both canceled.

The date for the Dedham Girls Softball 12U Hockomock Girls Summer Softball League championship game is still being determined, but Coach Charlie Kelly believes that it may be pushed to next week.

"It's looking like Monday or Tuesday, as supposedly tomorrow or the weekend," 12U Coach Kelly said.

According to the coach, he believes it's because the umps and other towns are too busy with with other area tournaments.

The Dedham 10s will be playing today at 3 p.m. in Cranston, RI.  They will need to win two games to be the first team from Dedham to win a New England title.

Dan Maher is one of the coaches for the team and he feels amazed and proud that the team made it this far.

"They play the game the right way and they represent the Town of Dedham and Dedham Youth Baseball very well," Maher said. "Dedham should be very proud of this team."
