Dedham Voters Pick Lynch, Gomez in State Primary

The voter turnout was at 22.1 percent, according to the Town Clerk's website.

 

According to the election results, 4,389 casted their ballots in Dedham, representing 22.1 percent voter turnout.

For the Democratic Party, 65.8 percent voted for Congressman Stephen Lynch.  And for the Republican Party, 44.4 percent voted for former U.S. Navy SEAL Gabriel E. Gomez.

From the total, Stephen Lynch received the majority of the votes with 2,380, followed by Democratic U.S. Congressman Edward Markey with 1,233.

It then went on with Gabriel Gomez with 346 votes, Michael Sullivan with 328 votes, and Daniel Winslow with 100 votes.

But the rest of the state voted differently.

Democrat Edward Markey and Republican Gabriel Gomez will be the two candidates for the General Election ballot on June 25.
