Dedham Resident Arrested For Breaking Into Multiple Vehicles in Norwood

On June 26 around 4 a.m.  Norwood Police arrested Giovanni Jose Maldonado, 18, of Roslindale and Carlos Torres, 20, of Dedham for larceny and breaking into multiple vehicles in Norwood.

On June 25 at 11:46 p.m. police responded to a report that two men were breaking into cars in the neighborhood of Lawndale Road.

After checking the neighborhood, Officer McDonagh located one suspect walking on Pellana Road. The suspect admitted to breaking into cars with an accomplice but gave a fake name. The suspect was then identified by a witness and was placed under arrest for breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and larceny.

Officers continued to search the neighborhood and at around 3 a.m. police found the second suspect and he was arrested. Upon further investigation, one of the two materialized as a suspect.

"The two are charged with breaking and entering into and larceny from, cars on Pleasant Street, Sunnyside Road, and Birch Road," police said on their Facebook page.

Police were able to recover wallets, cash, lottery tickets, a GPS, sunglasses, and cash.

"All cars that were entered had been left unlocked by their owners," police said.
