Dedham Police Log: Shoplifting, Vehicle Break-ins and More

The following information was provided by the Dedham Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

 

Monday, May 27

(6:47 p.m.)  A man reported to Dedham Police that his iPhone was stolen while he was in theater 7 at Showcase Cinemas.  A report was filed.

(7:41 p.m.)  A woman reported to police that she believed that her iPhone was stolen.  According to reports, she said that she left it behind while sitting on a bench at TJ Maxx but when she went back- it was gone.  TJ Maxx found surveillance footage showing the woman leaving the phone behind, and then a 5'10 black male wearing a blue shirt sat down on top of the iPhone, maneuvers the phone into his pocket and then walks out of the store.  A report was filed.

(11:05 a.m.) A woman walked into the police station and reported that her debit card was stolen while she was at a meeting at church. According to reports, she believes that someone she knows walked into the basement and took her debit card from her wallet and was already used at three businesses.  A report was filed.

Thursday, May 30

(11:48 a.m.) According to police reports, a car was broke into at the parking lot of Wilson Mountain. The passenger side front window was smashed and the driver's green purse was taken.

Saturday, June 1

(9:34 a.m.) A couple walked into the police station to report that their car was broken into.  They parked their car on Liberty Lane and left the doors unlocked.  When they returned, both of their laptop computers were missing.  A report was filed.
