Dedham Police Log: Pedestrian Struck at Legacy Place, Shoplifting and More

Friday, June 28
(12:04 p.m.) A man walked into the police station to report fraudulent charges in his checking account  A report was filed.

Saturday, June 29
(12:30 p.m.) Dedham Police reported to Legacy Place after receiving a phone call about a man stealing a cell phone from a store.  According to reports, the suspect cut the wire of a cell phone and then ran out of the store, the manager then ran after him but was unable to catch him.  Dedham Police will be investigating the case and will post the surveillance footage on Mass Most Wanted.

Sunday, June 30
(11:59 a.m.) A pedestrian was struck by a SUV at Legacy Place while is was backing out of a parking spot, according to reports.  The driver told police that she didn't see the woman. A report was filed.

(3:58 p.m.) A car was broken into at the parking lot of Joe's Bar and Grill, according to reports.  A coach backpack filled with business papers and a laptop was taken.  A report was filed.

(4:44 p.m.)  A shoplifter was caught at the CVS on Eastern Avenue.  According to reports, two black females and one black male was walking around the store looking suspicious.  Both women then left the store with a carriage filled with $166.61 worth of merchandise, but then left the carriage in the parking lot when they realized they were being followed.  Three later when inside a vehicle and left in an unknown direction.
