Dedham Police Log: Malicious Damage, Vehicle Break-in and More

The following information was provided by the Dedham Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

 

Wednesday, Jan. 2

(9:46 p.m.) According to police reports, there was a vehicle parked on Providence Highway that was broken into.  The owner of the vehicle told police that she found her passenger front window smashed and her briefcase and wallet were missing.  Police informed the vehicle owner to cancer her credit cards and inform them if they've been used in any way.

(6:04 p.m.) Police responded to a report of a man removing used tires and placing them into a van, according to reports.  The manager of the store stated that one of his repairmen tried yelling at the male, telling him that he couldn't take the tires.  At that point, the man taking the tires left the scene and drove northbound on Providence Highway.

(1:47 p.m.) According to police reports, two large double-pane glass windows were struck by BBs.  On window was struck by 3 BBs and the other by 4 BBs.  Resdents who lived by the area admitted to shooting BBs at the windows, but stated that they did not believe that the glass would break.  Police informed him that he would have to pay for the repairs and he surrendered his BB gun.
