Dedham Police Log: Dog Struck by a Truck on Sprague Street, Shoplifting and More

Wednesday, April 24

(9:57 p.m.) A dog was struck by a truck on Sprague Street, according to police reports.  The driver told police that he was driving on Hillsdale Road and made a left on Sprague Street, that's when he noticed that a small dog broke free from its owner and ran into the street.  The driver tried to stop, but unfortunately the dog ran in front of his truck.  The dog was taken to Angel Memorial Animal Hospital.

Saturday, April 27

(5:14 p.m.) There was a report of a shoplifter at Legacy Place.  According to reports, the female suspect was seen concealing items in her hand bag totaling $54.93.  The suspect was placed under arrest.

(6:18 p.m.)  According to police reports, a man was seen entering a store and then took 30 Red Sox shirts from the shelves.  The man then left the store.  A report was filed.

Sunday, April 28

(6:55 p.m.)  A woman walked into the police station and reported that her iPhone was stolen at Panera Bread.  The woman told police that she put her phone down while filling her drink at the beverage fountain and then left the store.  That's when she realized that she left it, but when she returned the phone was gone.  A report was filed.

(7:58 p.m.)  An iPhone was stolen from a woman's baby carriage at JP Licks, according to reports.  A report was filed.
