Dedham Police Honor Officer McMillan
Officer Michael J. McMillan passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 10.
The Dedham Police Department hung up some memorial bunting around the building to honor Officer Michael J. McMillan.
On Aug. 10, Officer McMillan died unexpectedly. He was a Dedham resident and a police officer for over nine years.
Chief Michael D'Entremont says that he was a highly valued member of the force because he was considered "the go-to-guy."
"It's a very big loss for the department," Officer D'Entremont said. "He was a highly respected member of the department so it's really a tragic loss for us. We'll miss everything about him."
Officer McMillan leaves behind his wife and five children. He was 48-years-old.
