1. Meet Author Jacqueline Davies

Why Go: Meet Jacqueline Davies, Author of the award-winning "Lemonade War" series, for a reading and discussion of her popular series and signing of the new fourth book in the series, "The Candy Smash."

2. Matt Borrello in Concert

Where/When: Paradise Cafe, 565 High St. in Dedham./ Saturday, Feb. 2 at 8 p.m.

Why Go: His songs draw their structures from folk, country, blues, and rock music. He is a lover of spontaneous collaborations and his songs often have several different arrangements.

3. February Artist of the Month

Where/When:  Dedham Square Artists Guild, 553 High St. in Dedham./ Friday, Feb. 1 at 12 p.m.

Why Go:  Kerry Hawkins is this month's artist and her show will focus on her macro shots of nature. Hawkins uses her macro lenses to explore the world of small things. Although, her first love are street shots she also really enjoys taking photos of nature and her surroundings. This show will be her recent work.

4. Fenway Park Winter Light Show

Where/When: 4 Yawkey Way in Boston./ Friday, Jan. 31 at 4 p.m.

Why Go: America’s Most Beloved Ballpark debuted the "Fenway Park Winter Light Show" at the 2012 Holiday Bash, but the brand new musical LED performance hasn’t ended just because the holidays are over. The show will continue to dance on the Green Monster.

5. Kids Craft

Where/When: Sheep Skate Yarn & Craft, 549 High St. in Dedham./ Sunday, Feb. 3 at 4:30 p.m.

Why Go:  This is a great time for kids 8-years-old and older to get together at the Sheep Skate table and create.  Each week they do something different.  It could be clay, beads, weaving, jewelry, you never know.
