Dedham Square Construction Update, Oct. 15

Here is this week's Dedham Square Project update.

 

According to the contractors, two projects will begin this week.  The first will be the reconstruction of the sidewalk on the easterly side of Washington Street, from High Street to Harris Street.  The sidewalk will be closed for up to three weeks and 12 on-street parking spaces will be unavailable.

The second project will be the reconstruction of the sidewalk of the southerly side of High Street, from Eastern Avenue to the Route 1 overpass.  The sidewalk will also be closed for  three weeks and 10 on-street parking spaces will be unavailable.

The reconstruction of the sidewalk on the westerly side of Washington Street, from High Street to Harris Street, will continue this week.  According to contractors the sidewalk is expected to be closed for up to one week.

The concrete apron for the Keystone Parking Lot will be poured this week.  The entrance to the lot will be closed for one to two days.  The contractors will provide a temporary entrance for the lot on Eastern Avenue, near High Street.

The reconstruction of the Keystone Parking Lot retaining wall is also scheduled to continue this week.  According to the contractors, about 250 feet of sidewalk, from Eastern Avenue to the Route 1 bridge overpass, will be closed for two to four weeks.

The contractors will also be installing street trees and landscaping at various locations throughout the square.
