Five Things You Need to Know: Dec. 19, Handcrafted Caramels, Culinary Job Fair and More

Here are five things you need to know for Wednesday!

Today's Weather: Today there will be a slight chance of rain and snow showers before 8 a.m., then a slight chance of rain showers between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Then it will be partly sunny, with a high near 46.  For tonight, mostly cloudy, with a low around 29, according to The National Weather Service.

1. Come and try free samples of at the Dedham Square Artists Guild at 12 p.m. Made locally in Hyde Park, they are available in 8 mouthwatering flavors and various packaging for holiday gifts! McCrae's is proud of their pure, natural, caramels and are worth trying!

2. There will be a Culinary Open House at NewBridge on the Charles, 5000 Newbridge Cir. in Dedham.  Their recruiters will be meeting one-on-one with walk-in applicants to help identify great talent for Cooks, Stewards, Servers and othe positions.  Click here to find more information on this event.

3. Sheep Skate Yarn & Craft, 549 High St. in Dedham, will have a Needy Knitters class at 1 p.m.  The class costs $10 to join.

4. Stil Studio, 740 Legacy Pl. in Dedham, will have a Kids Yoga class at 3:30 p.m.  Classes engage children (from three to six years old) through movement, music, games and inspired Yoga-play to capture their attention and their imaginations as they refine their motor skills and understanding.  The class costs $15 to join.

5. And the Dedham Community House, 671 High St. in Dedham, will have an Open Gym for High School Students at 8:15 p.m.  Students can bring their friends and basketball over to the DCH Gymnasium (green building located behind the main house) to shoot some hoops.  This activity is FREE and DCH staff will be there to monitor activities.
