Dedham High School Ranked 42nd in the State, Awarded Silver Medal
The ranking and award came from U.S. News and World Report's list of best high schools across the state and the nation.
Dedham High School is the 42nd best high school in Massachusetts, according to a new report from U.S. News and World Report.
In addition, the school was given a silver medal, classifying the Dedham school as a high-performing school with lower college readiness than those that earned a gold medal.
On a four-point scale, Dedham scored a 3.5 (89 percent) in proficiency in math, which is higher than the state average, and a 3.2 (87 percent) in proficiency in English, which is near the state average.

The 12:1 student-teacher radio was also near the state average.
The high school earned a college readiness score of 28.7, which was near the state average. The score is measured on a scale that goes up to 100 and is created based on the amount of 12th graders that took and passed AP exams.
