Susan in a seven year resident of Dedham and lives there with her husband and young son. She is an avid recreational outdoor runner, on her way to becoming a gym junkie, enjoys pilates and as of three years ago, a proud stay-at-home mom as well. Her enthusiasm and commitment for a healthier lifestyle came about after she weighed well over 200 lbs after the birth of her son. Through patience, hard work and determination she now leads a much more active and healthier lifestyle with her family.

In this blog she hopes to share her knowledge and passion for healthy eating and welcomes readers to share their thoughts, knowledge and experience on the subject as well. At times she may go off on a tangent and discuss a personal story regarding food and health so bear with her—she’s a known chatty chick. ;)

As she tries to balance it all, she refers back to her favorite motivational quote for inspiration:

“As a breed, runners are a pretty gutsy bunch. We constantly push ourselves to discover limitations, then push past them. We want to know how fast we can go, how much pain we can endure, and how far our bodies can carry us before collapsing in exhaustion.”

—Bart Yasso, Runner’s World Chief Running Officer and “The Mayor of Running.”
