ReplyThere should not be a sex offender registry. If there is any risk of re-offending, a person should not be released. I know the prisons are overloaded, but isn't a 1% chance still too high?

ReplyDear Domenic -
The renovations are still planned. There has been some delay due to paperwork (it's hard to get all the signatures required for all the permits, etc in the summer) but it is definitely moving forward. Tedeschi has everything in place to begin as soon as all the "i"s are dotted and the "t"s are crossed. It will happen soon, and it will be incredibly exciting to see Ziad's shop get its much-deserved and long-awaited renovation. Once we have dates, we will post them on facebook and include them in email updates. I am certain there will be a Grand Opening celebration when the work is done, although that's not quite accurate since the store will NOT close during renovations. If you are not on facebooko and would like to get email updates, please let me know. -

ReplyThank you, Five-Year-Old, for your great perspective! Just to clarify, the Oakdale Square Alliance is a community group that was formed about two years ago to help promote a vibrant community in the Oakdale Square neighborhood. This group was not involved in the installation of the monument, but we have been active in maintaining the Oakdale Common at our spring and fall cleanup events.
There was a separate committee, I believe referred to as the Oakdale Monument Committee, that worked to raise the money and install the Veteran's monument in the Oakdale Common. Representatives from the Dedham Public Art Project and the Oakdale Square Alliance, along with both artists, met with two members of the Oakdale Monument Committee prior to seeking approval from the Parks and Recreation Committee to place the rabbit in the Oakdale Common.

ReplyWas the microburst reported to and/or confirmed by the NWS office in Taunton? There is an online form for filing such reports. http://www.erh.noaa.gov/box/spotterreportform.html

I can't attend at 3PM because I'll be picking up my kids from school, but I will stop by earlier in the day and add an angel. Thank you for doing this. If you need help during the day, post a comment and I can stop by.
