ReplyIt's honestly frightening to me how many people don't know how to be safe in a pool. I'm a lifeguard and I'm constantly having to argue with people over whether or not they have to be in the water with their child who can't swim without a bubble (they do), whether or not a bubble is enough to keep them safe (it's not), and whether or not their child who can't swim without a bubble can go in the deep end with them (they can't).
Why are you arguing with the person in charge of your and your kid's safety? I don't enforce these rules to be mean. I enforce them because I don't want your or your child to get hurt, or worse, die. I want you to have a good time but man, be smart, please? Why would you NOT want to be in the pool with your kid who can't swim? It's beyond frustrating.

ReplySounds to me like Blais and Cook want to live in a perfect world where no one ever has anything bad to say about anyone else and everyone is wonderful and happy. It's unsettling that they tried to silence Weydt for speaking out against their naivety and speaking up for the people of Attleboro.

ReplyThere was a branch in the road following """Hurricane""" Sandy and parents were on here whining about school not being canceled. The same for the """snow storm""" we got last month, all of 2 inches of snow. I don't know about you parents but if I had kids, I would NOT want them walking in the street just to get to school. The DPW has slacked on clean-up, especially on sidewalks, so if you have an issue with school being canceled today you should probably take it up with them and not school administration.
Don't worry, I'm bracing myself for the barrage of angry plow drivers who have worked three days and think I owe them something for playing with our tax dollars :)
