An outside fire extended to the attic of a two-floor home, according to reports Tuesday afternoon.
Dedham fire crews responded to a two-alarm fire inside a Stoney Lea road home Tuesday afternoon. Heavy smoke began showing shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday. And outside fire extended into the structure of the home, with heavy fire extending into the attic, according to unconfirmed reports. Fire crews from Dedham responded to the scene of a two-alarm fire at 139 Vine Rock St. Monday afternoon. The blaze had been reportedly knocked down after the fire tore through the roof of the property. "The house was vacant at the time, but we were able to put down the fire within a half hour," Dedham Fire Chief William Cullinane said at the scene. Contractors had been working on the roof of the home at the time of the fire, though no injuries were reported.
