Temporary Dog Park Will Stay Open, Switching Locations
It was voted by Parks and Recreation that The Dedham Dog Park will continue to service the town.
The permit for The Dedham Dog Park expires today. But Dedham dog owners will be happy to know that the park will not close down. It will only be moved to another temporary location. The committee will offer another extension for a year, or until the permanent dog park is complete. The park started as a pilot program, set up by Chuck DelloIacono. At first, the Parks and Recreation Committee wanted to see how residents would respond to the park. But they were surprised how fast hundreds of residents were using the facility. The priests at SMA we're pleased with the care taken by the dog park people (owners and park and rec commission) over the last six months. The fathers were consulted by Parks and Recreation last week concerning the restoration of the current park and the new location. They were very happy with both solutions. No one was lied to, no one was kept in the dark and the patch article was complete.   more ›
