Dedham Square Improvement Project Update, June 17

Here's this week's Dedham Square Project update.

  This week the contractors will replace the trees and other plantings that did not survive during the winter.  While work is being done, two or three on-street parking spaces may not be available. NSTAR Gas will continue to replace their utility and services on Washington Street and Harris Street.  This work is unaffiliated with the Dedham Square Improvement Project and if any residents have questions, call 617-424-2697. Night work will be conducted from now until Thursday night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. For this reason all vehicles must be moved from the work area by 6 p.m. During that time contractors will work on reconstructing Washington Street, from School Street to 355 Washington St. According to contractors, work will also be done on …

Dedham Square Improvement Project Update, June 10

Here's this week's Dedham Square Project update.

  NSTAR will continue replacing their utility and services on Washington Street and Harris Street.  This work is not related to the improvement project. Overnight work will continue this week until Thursday night, the hours will be from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.  The contractors will be reconstructing Washington Street, from School Street to 355 Washington St. Because there will be overnight construction, the contractors are asking everyone to remove their vehicles by 6 p.m.  Otherwise they will be towed at the owner's expense. The contractors will place signs up in the work area during the day to remind everyone.

Dedham Square Construction Update, Winter Shutdown

Here's this week's Dedham Square Project update.

  According to the contractors, the project will begin its winter shutdown. The contractors may continue paving the remainder of the Keystone Lot within the next week or so.  They will also be allowed to install the parking lot's lights as soon as they are delivered in December. The contractors are expected to resume construction around Mar. 15, 2013.

Dedham Square Construction Update, Nov. 12

Here's this week's Dedham Square Project update.

  According to the contractors, there will be work done on Veteran's Day.  One of the projects they are hoping to finish this week is the "earthwork" on the northerly end of the Keystone Parking Lot. The contractors will also be installing bricks for the brick banding within the sidewalks.  On-street parking will be closed within those areas, but will resume after 5 p.m. "Night work" will take place Thursday night, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.  During that time, contractors will be working on a temporary roadway and parking lot striping. "The existing crosswalk markings will be  blacked out and the new crosswalk locations will be temporarily striped for the winter," the contractors write. Dedham Square Construction Update, Nov. 5

Here's this week's update on the Dedham Square Project.

  According to contractors, the installation of brick banding on the corner of Eastern Avenue and High Street will continue this week. They will also be adding bricks within the sidewalks in the area.  For that reason, on-street parking will be closed during work hours and will reopen at the end of the work day. The reconstruction of High Street, from Court Street to Church Street, is scheduled to begin this week, according to contractors.  Parking will not be permitted within the area at night. For that reason, the contractors would like residents to know that "all vehicles must be moved from the work area by 9 p.m.  Any vehicle not moved will be towed at the owner's expense."  However, the contractors will place signs during the day to …

Here's this week's update on the Dedham Square Project.

  According to Contractors, there are a few projects that will continue this week in Dedham Square.  The first project will consist of the reconstruction of the sidewalk on the easterly side of Washington Street, from High Street to Harris Street.  The sidewalk will be closed for up to three weeks and 12 on-street parking spaces will be unavailable. The next project deals with the reconstruction of the sidewalk on the southerly side of High Street, from Eastern Avenue to the Route 1 overpass.  This area will be closed for up to two weeks and 10 on-street parking spaces will be unavailable.   According to the contractors, two projects will begin this week.  The first will be the reconstruction of the sidewalk on the easterly side of Washington Street, from High Street to Harris Street.  The sidewalk will be closed for up to three weeks and 12 on-street parking spaces will be unavailable. The reconstruction on the northerly side of High Street, from Eastern Avenue to Cafe Video Paradise, will also continue this week.  The sidewalk will be closed for up to one week, and two on-street parking spots will be unavailable.   According to the contractors, the reconstruction of the sidewalk on the northerly side of High Street, from Washington Street to Court Street is scheduled to begin today.  The sidewalk will be closed for up to two weeks, and eight on-street parking spots will be unavailable.  However, temporary access ways will be provided for local businesses and residential buildings.
