The following came from a press release. The Price Center is presenting Dedham Savings with a plaque commemorating grants that were given through the Dedham Institution for Savings Foundation. These grants were used for the Price Center’s Intensive Day Habilitation Program. The Price Center, with locations in Newton, Dedham and Brookline, has a dedicated team that is changing the lives of adults and teens faced with severe to profound physical and cognitive disabilities. They offer a wide spectrum of programs to meet the clinical, therapeutic, social, and residential support needs of each program participant and their families. The Avery School 3rd and 4th grade students recently participated in an assembly, Money Matters, sponsored by Dedham Savings Bank and Radio Disney. This interactive financial themed program encourages the students to be more financially informed and responsible by teaching them about the subject.

At a recent meeting of the Board of Investments of the Dedham Institution for Savings, Kevin Donovan was promoted to Marketing Specialist. Mr. Donovan began his career at Dedham Savings in 2003. Kevin graduated from Bridgewater State College with a BA in Communications. He currently lives in Marshfield.

The bank was temporarily closed while detectives were investigating, but they are now open for business.
Dedham Savings Bank located at 55 Elm St. was robbed earlier this morning. The only information that is available is that the perpetrator was a white male wearing a orange hat and a white jacket. Gerard Lavoie, Chief Operating Officer for Dedham Savings Bank, informed Patch that there was no weapon involved and the matter is still under investigation. "Fortunately no one was physically harmed," Lavoie said. Lavoie also said that the robber presented a note to the teller, but they are unable to disclose the amount of money that was taken, or what the note entailed.
