Monday- April 29, 2013 Hit and Run- 11:48 a.m. Common Street- Report of a hit and run accident. Larceny- 2:50 p.m. Providence Highway- Report of a larceny of a bicycle. A black male was looking at bikes in the back of the store. An employee stated that the male proceeded with a bike and bike lock and leave out the front door without paying. An employee yelled at the male and exited the store but was unable to catch up. The bike was valued at $190 and the lock was valued at $40. Shoplifting- 5:10 p.m. Providence Highway- Report of two female shoplifters at the Dedham Mall. Monique Dunn, 45, was accused of allegedly taking two t-shirts valued at $60. Dunn allegedly admitted to an officer that she stole one shirt and was placed under arrest. …

Wednesday, April 24 (9:57 p.m.) A dog was struck by a truck on Sprague Street, according to police reports. The driver told police that he was driving on Hillsdale Road and made a left on Sprague Street, that's when he noticed that a small dog broke free from its owner and ran into the street. The driver tried to stop, but unfortunately the dog ran in front of his truck. The dog was taken to Angel Memorial Animal Hospital. Monday, April 15 (8:56 p.m.) There was a report of a shoplifter in custody at a store on Providence Highway. The loss prevention team of the store told police that they observed the suspect attempting to steal $1000 worth of merchandise. The shoplifter was arrested, according to reports. Tuesday, April 16 (1:09 a.m.) Dedham Police responded to call on Curve Street about a report of malicious damage and graffiti. Wednesday, April 10 (8:57 p.m.) There was a woman who was shoplifting at the Dedham Mall, according to police reports. The Loss Prevention team at the store observed the woman conceal multiple items at then attempted to leave the store without paying for them and was stopped and brought to the office. Wednesday, Mar. 20 (6:56 p.m.) According to police reports, there was a shoplifter at a supermarket on Providence Highway. Loss Prevention reported to police that the suspect was seen putting items in her purse and in her cart. She then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. The suspect was placed under arrest. Friday, Mar. 22 (2:22 p.m.) A car dealership reported to Dedham Police that someone stole their dealer plate. A report was filed. Sunday, Mar. 24 (9:36 a.m.) Four teenagers attempted to ask adults to buy them cigars. When Dedham Police approached them, they had no explanation for their behavior. They were spoken to and released.

Wednesday, Mar. 13 (4:57 p.m.) According to police reports, there was a shoplifter at a supermarket on Providence Highway. Loss Prevention stated that the suspect has been shoplifting from their store over the last few weeks. When police arrived on the scene, the suspect fled towards the West Roxbury line. Dedham Police searched the area with negative results. (5:59 p.m.) A resident walked into the police station to report credit card fraud. She reported to police that she left her credit card at a store. Later on she received a phone call from the credit card company asking about the number of purchased. Monday, Mar. 4 (12:13 p.m.) According to police reports, malicious damage was done to vehicle. There were two large gouges on the passenger side and part of the hub cap was damaged. The vehicle owner was advised to contact her insurance company. (3:23 p.m.) Dedham Police stopped a vehicle on Providence Highway for speeding and then found a clear plastic bag in the vehicle that contained heroin. The driver was placed under arrest. (7:19 p.m.) Dedham Police responded to a report of a shoplifter on Providence Highway.
