Seniors are eager to participate in the annual "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk" in October.

A year after becoming the high school to raise the most funds, Ursuline Academy seniors want to increase their total for the annual "Making Stride Against Breast Cancer" Walk" as they return to school this week. Nearly 200 UA students joined the cause and raised $25,000 last year during the Boston walk, and the school was honored at a ceremony at the event. Clad in blue and green plaid skirts and blue polo shirts, seniors said Tuesday that they are eager to begin fundraising for the October event. "It is showing how much of influence we can be in such a huge fundraiser," said senior Alicia McNally, of Dedham. Ursuline Academy graduates 63 seniors at Sunday afternoon ceremony.

Even "Waldo" made an appearance at this year's Ursuline Academy graduation. Ursuline senior Anna Dolan alluded to the popular children's series "Where's Waldo?" during her valedictory speech. Sixty-three Ursuline students accepted their high school diplomas during Sunday's graduation ceremony. Five Dedham residents finished their Ursuline careers as well: Katherine Kenney, Caroline Slason, Alyssa Tavalone, Sylvia Sarkis and Deirdre McLaughlin. Ursuline Soccer Wins on Senior Day

Bears pummel Norwood with 19 shots in 3-2 home win.

The tournament-bound Ursuline soccer squad added another win to their season Thursday afternoon at home against Norwood, 3-2. Ursuline came out firing and dominated the first half with eight shots and held Norwood without a shot until 30 minutes in. After six unsuccessful shot attempts early, Ursuline finally got on the board as junior Emily Sullivan dribbled past the defense and put the ball in the back of the net. "[The best defense is a good offense] is the old expression for it," said Ursuline coach John Forte. "We controlled the ball, kept possession on their end of the field."  Norwood only attempted three shots all half, but with eight minutes left, they tied the score on a ball that found its way past junior goalie Alicia McNally, …

Ursuline Girls Soccer Shuts out Boston Latin, 3-0

Ursuline Girls Soccer won 3-0 today against Boston Latin.

Ursuline pulled out a huge win as they blanked Boston Latin 3-0 Monday afternoon thanks to timely goals and excellent defense. Coach Joe Forte credited the girls for an outstanding effort. "The girls were asked to play 80 minutes of consistent soccer," said Forte. "They went out and did that today and pulled through with a nice win." The Ursuline Bears (8-6-1) have three games remaining and needs one more win to get a playoff berth. Forte said that this win was just another step towards the ultimate goal. Both teams played well, but Ursuline capitalized on scoring opportunities. Sophomore midfielder Caitlyn Karol scored the first goal about 10 minutes into the game. It came on a corner kick, where she headed the ball in the right side past…
