FOX 25 Zip Trip is Coming to Dedham, What Would You Like to See?

The FOX 25 Zip Trip crew will be stopping by on Friday and will feature popular and historical places to visit in Dedham.

  The Fox 25 Morning News team is celebrating 10 years worth of Zip Trips, and the crew will be stopping by Dedham on Friday. The Zip Trip will be held at the Endicott Estate, 656 East St. in Dedham, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. During the trip there is usually a segment that talks about the town and what makes it so special.  One reader posted that they would like to see the Fairbanks House. Town Meeting Votes to Three More Liquor Licenses for Dedham Square to Increase Business and More

Dedham Town Meeting members met Monday night to discuss a number of issues including how bringing liquor licenses can increase business to Dedham Square; and why the Joseph Bus Service was too expensive for Dedham.

  Three new liquor licenses to Dedham Square, and the cancellation of the JBL Bus Service were among the decisions made during Dedham's Town Meeting Monday night. In Article Three, it was recommended to eliminate the JBL Bus Service. Town meeting member Howard Ostroff believed that the bus service was still necessary for the town and suggested that $29,000 be added to include hiring a part-time driver for the service.  Town Administrator Bill Keegan, however, believed that the service was too expensive for the town and since the amount of ridership did declined within the last few years, it seemed unnecessary. "There will be some people who will be impacted," Keegan said, "but there is the MBTA. It may not be the service that everyone …

FOX25 Morning News to Bring Zip Trips to Dedham, 02026

Dedham residents are invited to celebrate 10 years of Zip Trips during a live FOX25 Morning News broadcast from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on May 24.

Town Thanks Those Who Helped with Bake Sale for One Fund

  On Thursday, May 2, the Town of Dedham Town Hall had a bake sale and raffle to benefit the One Fund Boston Foundation for Marathon bombing victims. People from Town Hall, Police, and Fire donated delicious baked goods, and even residents were kind enough to bring in food. Raffle gifts included a beautiful arrangement of flowers from Courtyard Florists in Dedham Square, a huge fruit basked donated by Rich and Mary Henderson, gift cards to Bed, Bath and Beyond, Dunkin’ Donuts, P.F. Chang, and Bristol Square Café in Walpole, a Patriots blanket donated by Joanne from Allin Congregational Church, and a beautiful afghan created by Acting Treasurer Donna Bowse. Ramble Roundup: James Joyce Ramble Schedule, Start Times

Dedham's famous James Joyce Ramble returns today to celebrate 30 years. Here is the full schedule of events.

Today, Sunday April 28, marks the return of Dedham's annual James Joyce Ramble 10K.  The event has been a regional Championship for the active New England running association for several years, but this is the first time that the Ramble will be a nationally recognized event. This year the run will host the American Masters 10K Championship. “Our continuing success is a testament to the hard work of the organizing committee, support of local business and wide community support," organizer Martin Hanley told Dedham Patch. Security for this year's event has been increased due to the recent Boston Marathon bombings. As such, there will be no bag check-in at the James Joyce Ramble. James Joyce Ramble Happening This Weekend

Dedham's famous James Joyce Ramble, celebrating 30 years on April 28, will also be the host for the American Masters 10K Championship drawing the best running talent from all over the country.

  The James Joyce Ramble has been a regional Championship for the active New England running association for several years, but this is the first time that the Ramble will be a nationally recognized event. “Our continuing success is a testament to the hard work of the organizing committee, support of local business and wide community support", organizer Martin Hanley said.   The Bamboo Restaurant, 55 Ariadne Rd. in Dedham, is known for fine Asian cuisine and a large sushi bar. When you enter the restaurant through large glass doors you are greeted by a tranquil waterfall covering one whole wall. The Link: Boston Inviting Public to Prayer Gathering for Marathon Victims

The gathering will take place on Sunday, April 21 at Moseley's on the Charles, 50 Bridge St. in Dedham, at 4 p.m.

  The Link: Boston, a church in Dedham, will host a prayer gathering to mourn and heal from Boston Marathon Bombings. "In response to the recent terror attack, The Link: Boston is hosting a prayer gathering for Boston and surrounding areas," the organizers announced on their website."We are inviting other churches and people in the community."
