Dedham High School Grad is Featured in Justin Timberlake Commercial

Dedham's Mandi Mellen had no idea that a Target commercial gig for Justin Timberlake's new album, would end with a surprise appearance from the man himself.

  After graduating from Dedham High School, Mandi Mellen moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. Recently, Mellen was casted for a Target commercial to promote Justin Timberlake's new album, and had no idea that he would make a personal appearance. "We all practiced singing his new song "Mirrors."  Each of us sang it individually and we were grouped up to sing it together," Mellen said.  "None of us knew that Justin was actually going to be in the commercial." In the commercial, Timberlake surprises the group while their singing.  Mellen is positioned on the left side of the guy in the group. "It was the third time we had sung it and all of a sudden I hear clapping and someone go 'That Sounds good.'  But me and the guy next to me…

Dedham Red Sox Scholar Gets Free School Supplies

As a Red Sox Scholar recipient, Dave Pierre was able to take advantage of getting free school supplies.

While everyone is scrambling to get things ready for back-to-school, there is one Dedham resident who is all set. Dave Pierre, was among 225 students chosen to receive free school supplies at a local Target in Dorcester. The event was held by Red Sox First Baseman, Adrian Gonzalez, as part of the Red Sox Scholars program. Through the program, Pierre was given a new backpack, and $125 for school supplies.
