Tuesday, July 3 Hyde Park Woman Arrested (2:42 a.m.) - A 21-year-old female from Hyde Park was arrested on Washington Street for evading taxi fare and disorderly conduct, according to reports. Monday, July 2 Roslindale Woman Arrested (5:32 p.m.) - Dedham Police arrested a 31-year-old Roslindale Woman on Providence Highway for larceny over $250, according to reports. Saturday, June 30 Dedham Man Charged with OUI (3:14 a.m.) - Police received report around 2:40 a.m. that someone had broken into a boat at a residence on Ash Street. Monday, June 11 Norwood Man Arrested (5:16 p.m.) - Dedham Police arrested a Norwood man for trespassing on Veterans Road. Saturday, June 9 Laundry Stolen (6:30 p.m.) - Police received a report from a local resident who claimed that a bag of laundry was taken from the back seat of his vehicle. The individual claimed that he had parked his vehicle in front of the East Dedham Plaza at around 4 p.m., and had put a bag of clean laundry in the rear seat, but did not lock his vehicle. He then walked around the rear of the plaza to admire the geese, and upon returning to his vehicle found the laundry to be missing. A Dorchester man, formerly of New York City, faces three counts of distribution of a Class A drug, possession of a Class A drug and selling within 1,000 feet of a school zone. Stiben Sanchez-Mejia, 24, was arrested Friday afternoon after a month-long investigation where police alleged he sold 2 grams of heroin to an undercover officer on three occasions. One of those deals, on May 10, was at BJ's Wholesale Club, which is within 1,000 feet of Dedham Middle School, according to court documents. Police also allege that he sold drugs to the same undercover officer on May 15 and on May 18, the date Dedham Police and Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime (NORPAC) arrested Sandchez-Mejia. A Dedham man was caught by Dedham Police quickly today after allegedly robbing a Hess gas station on Washington Street in West Roxbury. James Micarelli, 27, of Dedham, was arrested and charged with armed robbery. Around 3:11 p.m., the suspect's description, "a white male in his early 20s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants" was broadcasted. Gas station employees stated the suspect entered the store, passed a note stating he had a firearm, demanding money and then fled the store, according to BPDnews.com. Police arrested and charged Jamison Dean Stogryn on intent to distribute a class D drug.
Dedham Police arrested 20-year-old Jamison Dean Stogryn, of Norwood, on April 26 after officers said they found more than a pound of marijuana in a backpack belonging to Stogryn. Stogryn and two others were in a car near Washington and Court streets when officer James Lemanski pulled it over for having a loud muffler, police stated. Another passenger had a default warrant for his arrest, causing officers to perform an inventory search, according to reports. During this search, officers found two jars of pot, rolling papers and a digital scale in Stogryn's backpack, reports stated. Police said three men and a teen robbed another teen in the Dedham Plaza on March 28.
Dedham Police arrested three men and a teen on March 28 for allegedly robbing and assaulting another teen in the parking lot of Dedham Plaza at around 10:45 p.m. Officer David Chambers pulled over the suspects after seeing their car drive erratically and without headlights through Dedham Square and onto upper East Street, according to police reports. The victim's mother had followed the suspects in her car from the Plaza through the Square as well.
