Submitted by Judy Ambrose, Neponset Valley Humane Society If you have been considering adopting a cat but want to be sure your new family member will be good with children, then you will definitely want to meet Autumn. Autumn was especially fond of the children in her former family. This pretty tortie is a very sweet, loving, tolerant cat. She is mellow and affectionate, and happy to quietly entertain herself with toys when her humans are busy. She likes being held and cuddling in laps. Autumn has always been a strictly indoor cat and enjoys life indoors. Autumn is about five years old. She lost her home when a new baby was found to have severe allergies. Molly is available for adoption through the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Dedham Shelter.
Molly is an approximately 2-year-old female pit bull type dog. She came to the shelter from an animal control facility and was originally found as a stray. She is a very sweet girl who loves everyone she meets! She knows some basic commands like sit, stay, and come, and is eager to learn more. She seems to be housetrained in the shelter, but will probably need a refresher once she gets to her new home. Molly loves to play with any kind of toy, especially tennis balls and plush squeaky toys! She likes other dogs and plays well with them, but should not live with other dogs because she doesn't like to share her toys. She would do best with children over the age of 10 due to her possessive nature concerning toys. Molly does not bark much, but…

Cammy is available for adoption through the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Dedham shelter.
Cammy is an approximately 2-year-old female Pug mix. She is a very cute and sweet little girl who will be a wonderful addition to the right home. Cammy can be shy at first with new people, but once she gets to know you she is very friendly. She does not know any basic commands, so her new owners should consider taking her to training classes so she can learn good manners! She loves toys and is very playful. Cammy plays well with other dogs but we do not know how she would be with cats. Cammy has what we call "food aggression" and is very possessive of food, rawhides, and treats. If Cammy has something that is valuable to her and she thinks that someone is going to take it away from her, she will bite. Cammy's food aggression is …

Ethel is up for adoption through the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Dedham shelter.
Ethel is an 8-year-old female cat. She was brought to the Animal Rescue League's Dedham shelter because her owner became sick and could no longer take care of her properly. She is a beautiful girl with a medium length thick fur! She is overweight and will need to be on a diet in her new home. Ethel is fearful at first in a new environment, but with time and patience, she comes out of her shell and lets you see her true, sweet personality. She lived in a quiet house and would do best in a new home with older children; she should be the only pet in her new home. She is a very sweet girl who will be affectionate once she gets to know you! If you are looking for a sweet and quiet companion, then Ethel is your girl. She is spayed, …

Both animals are up for adoption through the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Dedham shelter.
Doug and Porkchop are two winter white dwarf hamsters looking for their forever home. They are only 3 months old and very sweet. Both hamsters were born in a foster home and handled since birth allowing them to grow up into friendly well socialized hamsters. They could live together, but need to be closely monitored to make sure they are not fighting. If they do they will need to be immediately separated in to their own cages. They are very sweet little guys and love to run in their wheel, burrow through bedding, and be held. If you are interested in adopting either Doug, Porkchop or both, contact the Animal Rescue League's Dedham shelter at 781-326-0729 or stop by to see them! Please make sure to bring a picture of their new cage all …

Submitted by Judy Ambrose, Neponset Valley Humane Society Penny and Bella are an adorable, friendly, happy, active young pair. Penny is the bobtail tabby. Bella is black. Penny is very sweet, loving and gentle with people but often instigates play with her best pal Bella. She enjoys curling up on the sofa with her foster family and being part of the family. Bella is a happy, energetic little girl. She came into rescue missing most of one ear, as you can see in her photo. We have no idea how that happened; she came to us that way, and it does not slow her down. Bella likes to be picked up, and once she gets to know you, she will follow you around just waiting for you to give her attention. She purrs with contentment anytime she gets pets. …

Editor's Note: The following was submitted by Judy Ambrose, Neponset Valley Humane Society Spencer is a very loving and friendly cat who wants to be the only pet in his new home. He is a little shy when he meets new people but quickly warms up. He loves to be brushed and to be around people. Spencer lived with a dog when he was young and everything was fine. He was a strictly indoor cat and happy that way. But then everything changed when his former family got a new dog. The new dog relentlessly chased Spencer and even hurt him pretty seriously. Spencer took matters into his own hands and moved out. He went to a neighbor, which would have been fine except the neighbor has other cats and Spencer does not get along with other cats. Spencer …
