Sean Paul is available for adoption now through the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Dedham shelter.
Sean Paul is a 2-year-old male pit bull mix. He is tan and white with the cutest face and smile. He was found as a stray and transferred here from animal control. He is super friendly with everyone he meets, he loves other dogs and is very playful. We are unsure of how he would be with cats and because he is jumpy, we are recommending a home without young children. He can be anxious if left alone, so we feed that he should go home with another dog. Sean Paul is not neutered yet, but will be before he goes home. Please call the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Dedham shelter at 781-326-0729. Adoption Hours: Tuesday-Friday: 1:00-6:30 Saturday-Sunday: 12:00-5:30 Closed Monday's and holidays.

Buddha is available for adoption through the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Dedham Shelter.
Buddha is a 2-year-old male pitbull mix. He is mostly black with some white on his chest, head, and neck. He is absolutely adorable and has the best personality. He knows all basic commands and seems to be house trained. He is fearful of children and is very jumpy, so therefore, we will only send him home with teenagers and older folks. He loves to go on long walks and should be walked on an easy walk harness or gentle leader to prevent him from pulling. Buddha would be a great running/jogging companion to run off his energy. This guy is energetic and loves to play with toys, but when he is tired he will plop right down and take a nap! Squeaky toys are his favorite and he also loves to play tug and dance. He gets along well with other dogs…

Galaxy is a 10-year-old cat ready for adoption at the Animal Rescue League of Boston in Dedham.
Galaxy is a big handsome short-haired cat with gray/tabby markings, and around 10 years old. He was brought to the Dedham shelter because he owner was in the hospital and could no longer care for him anymore. Galaxy has quickly become a staff favorite here and we can't wait to see him go to his forever home. He does not like dogs so would need to live with cats or be the only pet. Galaxy loves to explore and check out new surroundings. He is very affectionate and loving so he would make the perfect lap cat. If you are interested in our sweet boy "Galaxy" please call the shelter and speak to a staff member 781-326-0729 or stop by and visit!

The Dedham shelter has cut the cost to adopt a cat this summer.
As the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Dedham shelter prepares to undergo a multi-million dollar renovation this summer, the shelter is pushing cat adoptions in June to help with transition for the animals. During construction, the cats and dogs at the shelter will be moved into a trailer on-site, but there might not be enough room for all of the pets, meaning some would have to be relocated to either South Boston or Cape Cod, an ARL spokesperson said. "There is a much larger cat population in general [compared to dogs]," said Jennifer Wooliscroft, of ARL Boston. "It can be tricky sometimes to place an older cat." "It would be the best solution all around to adopt them," Wooliscroft said. "We'll certainly find places for them, we would …
