Ursuline Academy Receives Honorable Mention at Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

Ursuline Academy Participates in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk High School Challenge for Third Straight Year.

Their t-shirts proclaimed the message “Think Pink,” and that is just  what over 230 members of the Ursuline Academy community did when they braved the cold and  rainy weather to walk in the 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Boston on Sunday, October 14. Students, faculty, parents and even a few siblings came together to walk along the Charles River in support of those fighting breast cancer, survivors and those who have lost their courageous battle with this terrible disease. Ursuline Students Making 'Strides' to Start School

Seniors are eager to participate in the annual "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk" in October.

A year after becoming the high school to raise the most funds, Ursuline Academy seniors want to increase their total for the annual "Making Stride Against Breast Cancer" Walk" as they return to school this week. Nearly 200 UA students joined the cause and raised $25,000 last year during the Boston walk, and the school was honored at a ceremony at the event. Clad in blue and green plaid skirts and blue polo shirts, seniors said Tuesday that they are eager to begin fundraising for the October event. "It is showing how much of influence we can be in such a huge fundraiser," said senior Alicia McNally, of Dedham.
