Supporters Prepare for 9th Flutie Bowl

Doug Flutie will once again hold his annual event at Kings in Dedham.

For the ninth year, athletes and local celebrities will join Doug Flutie for the annual Flutie Bowl, held at Kings on Jan. 23 from 6-10 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, a charity that Doug and his wife, Laurie, established in honor of their son Doug, Jr., who was diagnosed with autism at 3 years old. Frugal Family

Save Cash on Bowling, Mini-Golf, Donuts

"Amazing friends; summer nights; chocolate ice cream; water fights; Half the summer is gone already, so lets spend the rest of it; slow and steady." - Author Unknown.

This week Frugal Family searched locally to come up with deals on family fun, fruit and coffee or donuts! Summer is slipping away, so now is the time to head out for some local fun, recreation and treats. There is no need to venture far from Dedham. A short drive up Route 1 for indoor mini-golf on a hot summer day sounds like fun to me. As always, check with merchants for details, and please share any deals you come across.

"This is great for East Dedham and Dedham as a whole. It puts Dedham over the top." At least 175 people visited Kings to show their support for a fully accessible Condon Park playground.
