Oakdale Students Raise $600 for Food Pantry

The fifth grade student council led the charge for donations.

For the seventh consecutive year, Oakdale Elementary School principal Holli Armstrong directed her fifth grade student council on a mission. Just before the holiday break, the Oakdale students in grades 1 - 5 were asked to bring a "bag of coins" or some spare change in to school from home. At a recent school wide assembly, Ms. Armstrong proudly told her students that they had collected a near-record amount of over $600 for a very worthy cause
