Harrows is Bringing Chicken Pies to Dedham
Dedham will get the chance to eat the same chicken pies that Reading residents have enjoyed since 1935.
Harrows Chicken Pies has been serving the residents of Reading since 1935. Now Dedham will get the chance to taste the pies that have kept the family business thriving. "We've been in Reading since 1935 and we wanted to see if other areas would work for us," Wally Arsenault, Co-Owner of the restaurant said. "We like that Dedham is a very busy area and is a family driven community. And chicken pie is something that would be good for any family meal." The restaurant was originally known as Charlie Harrow. Arsenault started working for the shop when he was a kid in the 1940s. He then purchased the business with his wife, Shirley, in the 1950s. "It's mostly the same ingredients," he said. We had our first Harrows chicken pie with vegetables last night and it definitely lives up to it's reputation!!!! The chunks of chicken in it were the size of a full chicken breast, wow. Will be going back very often, Thanks for bringing this to Dedham!! more ›
