Fun for Kids Day Brings Games, Activities to Dedham

Third annual 4Cs Fun for Kids Day offers entertainment for all ages while benefitting Children's Hospital Boston.

Clouds filled the Dedham skies Saturday, but the Dedham Community House offered a bright spot for children and adults on an overcast afternoon.  The community house hosted the third annual Fun for Kids Day, a fundraiser benefitting Children's Hospital Boston.  At least 100 people attended this year's event.  "It's been great," event founder Mark Consentino said. "There's been so much work, but we've had a great turnout." Consentino created the 4Cs for Kids Fund, a nonprofit organization providing support to Children's Hospital Boston. Community House to Host Fun for Kids Day

Fundraiser in Dedham benefits Children's Hospital Boston.

The Dedham Community House will offer children face painting, tattoos, pony rides and a moon bounce next month at the third annual Fun for Kids Day.  The event will take place Saturday, Sept. 24 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Event founder Mark Consentino said Fun for Kids Day has grown substantially in a short period of time.  "It's come a long way in three years," Consentino said. "Hopefully it'll double in size in the next five." Consentino noted he started the event in his backyard, but held the festivities at the Dedham Community House last year.
