The following is an excerpt from the Dedham Police Department log from July 3-4. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. Providence Highway Hit and Run The driver of a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder was injured and the car suffered front-end damage Friday morning when a green car with taxi markings on it hit the Pathfinder on the rear passenger side. The green car sped off toward Boston, police said. The pathfinder jumped the curb near Ocean State Job Lot, blowing out the front passenger tire. Damaged Loader at Avery Site Construction crews at the new Avery Elementary School worksite reported Friday morning that someone smashed the emergency window of a front-end loader.
