UPDATED: Another Alligator on the Loose in Dedham?

Looks like the alligator on the loose in town has been captured. Dedham Police say state environmental police located and captured the lost reptile this morning, which was found in shallow waters in the Charles River on the Dedham/Needham line. Officials say they believe it was once an illegal pet carelessly released into the water. Today DPW workers started the process of installing an island in the help further prevent accidents and allow for safer crossing of the street. Last month, selectmen approved a $4,000 pedestrian island to help walkers safely cross Eastern Avenue at the intersection of High Street.
