Vote in our poll and tell us what you expect out of tomorrow's game in the comment section below.
With Dedham's football teams not starting up again until the summer, fans will have their eyes glued to tomorrow's AFC Championship game between the 14-3 New England Patriots and the 13-4 Baltimore Ravens. Hot off a 45-10 victory over Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos last weekend, the Patriots have only to survive this weekend in order to secure a spot in the 2012 Super Bowl. A victory tomorrow would lead to New England's fifth Super Bowl appearance in 11 seasons, and yet another opportunity for Brady to solidify his position among the upper most echelon of NFL quarterbacks, along side four-time Super Bowl champions Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw. Do you think Brady and the Patriots will get that opportunity, or are the Ravens harbingers …

The Marauders lost to rival Norwood 48-18 in their 83rd annual Thanksgiving Day game.
Turnovers and a sluggish start hurt the Marauders Thursday as they lost the 83rd annual Thanksgiving showdown with archrival Norwood, 48-18. The loss at Veteran’s Field was especially tough for the team’s 22 seniors, a group that made up half of the team’s roster. “We gave them the ball to score touchdowns, and in our own zone,” Dedham’s Mikyle Hill said after his final game playing in the crimson and gray. “That’s what really hurt us.” The direction of the game was evident early on when only two plays into the game the Mustangs recovered a fumble on a Marauder reverse at the Dedham 39-yard line. Norwood quarterback Tommy Munro’s resulting pass to Peter Kelly in the back corner of the end zonewould be just one iteration of a common scene …

Early turnovers doom Marauders on Thanksgiving.
Dedham turned over the ball on the second play of the game, setting the tone for a 48-18 routing at the hands of archrival Norwood today in the annual Thanksgiving matchup. The Mustangs would find the endzone three times in the opening quarter alone, and would lead at the half 34-6. The Marauders did not fare much better in the third where they had only a single first down. Dedham scored twice in the fourth, but Norwood ultimately proved to be too much, running up the score before the senior Mustangs hoisted the Wall-Toti Trophy above the heads of their teammates. Check Dedham Patch later for a full game story and more pictures.

Veteran's Memorial Field re-dedication planned for Thanksgiving.
On a sunny chilly Veterans Day a few Dedham residents going about their day in the Square took to a moment to share their reflections with Patch. "I think of my time in Korea," veteran Tom Donahue said. "It wasn’t the best time of my life." He said as he adjusted his air force baseball cap. "I think of guys I knew, some who died and some who lived." Len Farnham said as someone older than 50, the day makes him think that he has yet to see a useful war. "We basically [lost] gigantic amounts of money," he siad. “No war has been fought for our way of life in the past 50 years,” he concluded. Robert Barburto said he was pleased that more troops are coming home this year as troop withdrawls in Iraq continue. The Town of Dedham is planning a re-…
