Where Is It?

And the Answer to this Week's Photo Is...

The All-America City Quilt that traveled through Dedham at Town Hall and the Dedham Square Artist Guild.

How did you do on this week's Where Is It?  This week's photo is of the All-America City Quilt that made its way through Dedham. It first appeared at Town Hall, and was later moved to the Dedham Square Artist Guild. It moved on to its next destination on Friday. Thanks to all those who submitted guesses. Check back next Friday for a new edition of Where Is It? And if you have a suggestion for the contest, submit two photos: one of the landmark, and the other a zoomed in picture to see if you can stump your neighbors.

Dedham Artists Flourishing in New Square Home

More than 20 local artists have filled their Square store and are readying for the busy holiday season.

Dedham artists are settling into their new Square home on High Street with the holidays approaching. "You could go to [a big box store] and buy things, but it is mass-produced," said Dedham artist Diana Hampe. "Why not come here insted and get a one-of-a-kind piece?" Three women banded together to find a pernament home for local artists to display and sell their work - and Kerry Hawkins, a co-founder, said they are looking forward to a successful holiday season. And now other artists have a place to put their work. "[My paintings] are piling up, so it…

Local Artists Come Together to Open Square Gallery

Dedham artists will have their work on display and for sale at the Dedham Square Artist Guild four days a week.

Dedham Square will become a bit more artistic this weekend as three art-loving friends will open the doors to a new art gallery on High Street. The gallery, open four days a week, will sell art created by local artists - from paintings to sculptures to pottery and more. "A majority [of artists] are [from] Dedham," Hawkins said.
