Dedham Junior Woman's Club to Host New Member Social

There will be an opportunity to meet the members of the club, ask questions about the club and enjoy chocolaty treats.

  The Dedham Junior Woman's Club will be hosting a New Member Social on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Endicott Estate.  Prospective members will see that club in action during their buisness meeting which will feature reports from the various committees. After the business meeting there will be an opportunity to meet the members of the club, ask questions about the club and enjoy chocolaty treats.  Established in 1979, the DJWC has been involved in virtually every facet of community life in Dedham by assisting schools, athletic organizations, public service departments (police and fire), cultural organizations, and non-profit service organizations such as the Dedham Food Pantry and Dedham Youth Commission.  DJWC’s reach extends beyond …

Inaugural Dedham Tree Jubilee A Big Success

The Christmas Spirit was alive and well in Dedham Center last Friday night, Nov. 30 as people generously supported the Dedham Junior Woman's Club 1st Annual Dedham Tree Jubilee at the Dedham Square Circle's Holiday Stroll. Strollers took raffle chances on ten beautifully decorated Christmas Trees and the Jubilee Tree which was filled with over $700 worth of gift certificates and products donated for local merchants.   The Dedham Community Theater graciously hosted the event in the theater lobby. The Christmas Trees were sponsored by the Grogan and Company, The Dedham Women's Exchange, Robert Mazza LLC, Winbourne Hampe & Sheehan, Nest, Ames Street Auto, Bridge Street Automotove, Gorman & Associates, Unitran Worldwide and Lisa Arsenault of …

Count Us In: Dedham Junior Woman's Club

You can count on these women to be "active volunteers in the community."

  Since 1979, the Dedham Junior Woman's Club (DJWC) has made it a mission to be "active volunteers in the community." What attracted me was how well organized the club was, how they followed an order at their meetings and there were all sorts of committees to join that actually did stuff," Sunshine Millea, member of the club said. "I'm really impressed with the women here and the things that they are doing for the community through the club." Through fundraising efforts from events like the "Craft Show," "Breakfast with Santa" and "Mothers Day Tea," the club is able to raise money for social services, schools and other non-profit organizations in Dedham. Dedham Junior Woman's Club Craft Show is Back

The Craft Show is the club's largest fundraiser.

  The Dedham Junior Woman's Club Craft Show Committee will be meeting again to put the finishing touches on the 31st Annual Craft Show that will be held Saturday, November 17th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Dedham Middle School. This year the Craft Show will be expanding in size, using more space at the Dedham Middle School.  The Craft Show has come along way since its beginning in 1981 with a very small show at the Dedham Mall.   As the Craft Show grew, the venue was moved to  Dedham High School. Shortly after the opening of the new middle school, the Craft Show found its new home.   This year the Craft Show will feature 90 crafters, some familiar and some new.
