The Dedham Institution for Savings Foundation awarded the Dedham Square Circle with a grant that will allow Dedham's Farmers Market to come back on June 19.
Thanks to a grant from the Dedham Institution for Savings Foundation, the Dedham Farmer’s Market will be able to kick-off its sixth season on June 19. The grant was awarded to the Dedham Square Circle, the non-profit that currently manages the Market. The market features six local farms, a greenhouse and ten specialty food vendors. This year the Market will be held on the green in front of the First Church of Dedham. The following came from a press release. The Price Center is presenting Dedham Savings with a plaque commemorating grants that were given through the Dedham Institution for Savings Foundation. These grants were used for the Price Center’s Intensive Day Habilitation Program. The Price Center, with locations in Newton, Dedham and Brookline, has a dedicated team that is changing the lives of adults and teens faced with severe to profound physical and cognitive disabilities. They offer a wide spectrum of programs to meet the clinical, therapeutic, social, and residential support needs of each program participant and their families. Dedham Institution for Savings donates $1,000.
The Dedham Institution for Savings Foundation is contributing $1,000 to the Fairbanks Garden Club. These funds will be used to help defray the cost of marketing materials and speakers to reach out to members of the community to promote horticultural education, interest and knowledge in gardening and the environment.
