Arrests Made in Car Part Thefts at Dedham Corp. Station Dedham Police arrested two Dedham residents Wednesday after a string of catalytic converter thefts at an MBTA station parking lot. Avery Arts Center Would Rely on Private Funding, Grant Money Selectmen will consider changing the current Avery Elementary School into an arts and community center. The move would require the board's support and approval from Town Meeting in May. Avery Dirt Pile Would Cost $500K to Remove The School Building Rehabilitation Committee heard bid prices for removal of a dirt pile from behind homes near the new Avery School project. PHOTOS: 'Dancing with the Dedham Stars' Captivates Crowd

Annual 'Dancing with the Dedham Stars' packs the house at Moseley's while raising money for Dedham Educational Partnership (DEP).

The 2011 'Dancing with the Dedham Stars' opened to a sold out house at Moseley's on Saturday night. The event, spearheaded by Dimitria Sullivan, president of the Dedham Educational Partnership, showcases six people locals chosen to train with a professional dancer and compete in the competition. While there is both a technical winner chosen by the judges and a popular winner chosen by the crowd, the real winner are the Dedham schools, which receives much of the proceeds from the annual event. Dedham Dancers Return for DEP Fundraiser

The event will take place on Dec. 3.

Once again, the popular fundraiser returns to Dedham - Dancing With the Dedham Stars. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Dedham Educational Partnership, and tickets for the Dec. 3 event go on sale on Oct. 15.
