Ex-Dedham Resident Arraigned in NH Cop Shooting

Shooting suspect held on $1 million bail following arraignment.

  A Litchfield, N.H., man, formerly of Dedham, was arrested and arraigned on attempted murder charges Thursday in a New Hampshire courtroom. Hillsborough County Attorney Dennis Hogan and Manchester Police Chief David Mara this morning announced the arrest of Myles Webster, 22, who is charged with attempted murder for the shooting of Manchester Police Officer Daniel Doherty multiple times with a handgun on Wednesday. Doherty, a Massachusetts resident, is listed in stable but serious condition at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. The shooting happened at about 6:30 p.m. on March 21 on the city's West Side. Webster was held on $1 million cash bail. A probable cause hearing was set for April 4.
