The Blue Hills Bank Charitable Foundation awarded the Dedham Food Pantry with a $10,000 grant.
The Dedham Food Pantry will now be able to to upgrade their cooling systems thanks to a $10,000 grant from the Blue Hills Bank Charitable Foundation. “This grant is a real big shot in the arm for us,” Dedham Food Pantry President, Lindsay Barich said. “With these funds we will be able to update our outdated refrigerator and freezer systems and work towards automatizing some of our work as we do most of it by hand. According to police, the suspect was taken into custody on Friday.
Dedham Police conducted a joint investigation with several agencies to find the two suspects involved in several bank robberies. This included the Nov. 9 and Nov. 29 robberies at Blue Hills Bank in Dedham. "Detectives from the Dedham Police Department joined members of the FBI's Bank Robbery/Violent Crimes Task Force Task Force and other participating agencies in order to set up surveillance in an effort to capture the suspects," police said. According to Dedham Police, detectives were able to capture one of the suspects on Friday at around 10 p.m. But police say that the investigation remains ongoing and are not releasing further information at this time.

Dedham Police is actively seeking information related to a robbery at the Blue Hill Bank on Providence Highway/Rte. 1 in Dedham on Thursday. The incident occurred at around 4:40 p.m. Thursday, and in a statement Friday morning, Dedham Police said that current information indicates a Hispanic male entered the bank and brandished a knife. There are unconfirmed reports of an armed robbery that took place at Blue Hills Bank.
Blue Hills Bank, at 749 Providence Highway in Dedham, was robbed this afternoon. Two suspects and a gun were involved, according to scanner reports. The suspects fled in an unknown direction after the robbery, and there is no word on what was taken. Dedham Police could not confirm the reports, but they did mention that they are investigating the situation.
