Dedham 9s, 11s Competing in New England Championship Cal Ripken Tournament

Dedham 9s win first game, lose second. Dedham 11s lose in Round Robin play, battle back to beat Marshfield.

  The Dedham 9s won their first game Saturday in Hebron, CT in the New England Championship Cal Ripken tournament. On Sunday, they lost a tough one. Berwick, ME won 4-3 so the Dedham 9s move to the loser's bracket. Dedham plays rival South Plymouth Monday. They need to win five straight to bring home the title. They've been there before, they need to win five stright to bring home the title.  Dedham 11s Lose to Wellesley, Beat Mansfield in Playoffs The Dedham 11s won round one of the suburban league playoffs and beat Kingston who has been the monkey on their back for more than two years. They've never been able to beat them, but won 4-0 Saturday by playing some great baseball.  They faced Wellesely on Sunday in the Round Robin leg of the …

Marauders Drop Rockets on Diamond in Bay State Opener

Dedham defeated Needham on Monday afternoon.

It took nearly three hours and nine innings of baseball before Dedham was able to earn their second win of the season, as the Marauders defeated the Needham Rockets 5-4. “That’s a good team over there,” said Dedham coach Kevin Quaranto. “I liked the way we battled today. We got on base when we had to, we drew some walks, Cam [Clifford] came up with a huge hit [to secure the win].” Said Needham coach John Fritas, “Nine inning leagues. That’s the thing I keep telling the kids. They know it.
