Help Save 1,200 Dogs and Cats in 12 Weeks

The Dedham Shelter of the Animal Rescue League of Boston is a part of a nationwide challenge that will take place from June 1 to August 31. Save lives this summer and help Dedham services earn critical funding.

  Dog and cat lovers in the Metro West and South Shore areas are encouraged to adopt new pets at the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s shelter in Dedham at 55 Anna’s Pl, Dedham, MA 02026 between June 1 and August 31 to save lives and support the League’s participation in the 2013 ASPCA Rachel Ray Challenge. Pet of the Week: Meet Sassa

  Sassafrass is a 2-year-old cutie pie who is looking for her new home. She was originally found as a stray and transferred to the Animal Rescue League by an Animal Control Facility. We believe her to be a pit bull mix, but your guess is as good as ours! Sassy (as we affectionately call her) is a joy to be around. She is quite affectionate! No known aggression or guarding issues that we have seen here. She is a favorite for the volunteers to take overnight and they have reported that she is very well behaved in the home setting after she becomes familiar. Pet of the Week: Diamond

Diamond is a large American Staffordshire terrier. She is incredibly sweet and knows basic obedience commands. Because Diamond is a large dog who can sometimes become jumpy when she is excited, we recommend that she goes to a home with no children or only children over the age of 13. Diamond is selective about which dogs she gets along with, so we also recommend that she goes to a home with no other dogs. Diamond is spayed and she has been vaccinated and given a clean bill of health by a veterinarian. Her adoption fee is $205.00. Pet of the Week: Meet Mr. Jingles

If you think that your family is the right fit for Mr. Jingles please come visit him at The Animal Rescue League of Boston, 55 Anna’s Pl, in Dedham.

  Mr. Jingles is a 3-year-old Pomeranian and weighs about 13lbs. He looks bigger, but the rest of him is all fluff! He was at the Boston Animal Control shelter as a stray and then brought to the Animal Rescue Leauge of Boston to find a new home. He was found as a stray along with a cat in a carrier so there is a chance that he lived with cats before. Mr. Jingles requires a patient owner and a family with no children. He really enjoys his toys & relaxing on his bed, but since he likes them so much he will protect his possessions from you. He needs a person that understands a dog should be left alone when eating & sleeping. Pet of the Week: Cammy, a Pug Mix

Cammy is available for adoption through the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Dedham shelter.

Cammy is an approximately 2-year-old female Pug mix.   She is a very cute and sweet little girl who will be a wonderful addition to the right home. Cammy can be shy at first with new people, but once she gets to know you she is very friendly. She does not know any basic commands, so her new owners should consider taking her to training classes so she can learn good manners!  She loves toys and is very playful. Ethel is an 8-year-old female cat.    She was brought to the Animal Rescue League's Dedham shelter because her owner became sick and could no longer take care of her properly.   She is a beautiful girl with a medium length thick fur!   Molly is an approximately 2-year-old female pit bull mix dog up for adoption at the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Dedham shelter.   She came to the shelter from an animal control facility and was originally found as a stray. She is a very sweet girl who loves everyone she meets! She knows some basic commands like sit, stay, and come, and is eager to learn more.   She seems to be housetrained in the shelter, but will probably need a refresher once she gets to her new home.
