Obituary: Mrs. Mary C. (Scampoli) Silvi

Mrs. Mary C. Silvi was a graduate of Dedham High and was active at the Walpole Senior Center.

Mrs. Mary C. (Scampoli) Silvi, 96, died in the Belmont Manor Nursing Center in Belmont, on Thursday, June 13, 2013. Born in Dedham, Jan. 31, 1917, she was the daughter of Anthony and Maria (Panetta) Scampoli. Raised in Dedham, she graduated from Dedham High School with the Class of 1935. A resident of Walpole for the past 55 years moving here from Dedham, where she was involved in the Walpole Senior Center and the Italian American Society. Mrs. Silvi loved arts and crafts, especially sewing , knitting, and making braided rugs. Beloved wife of the late James Joseph Silvi, she was the loving mother of John J. Golden. devoted son of the late Edward I. and Miriam (Bronski) Golden. He is also survived by a niece, two nephews and their families, his sister-in-law Evelyn Golden of Margate, NJ.
