The fitness studio offers personal training for women to help them lose weight in a healthy way.

Trainers put clients on a six-day meal plan and encourage women to have three sessions per week to see results.

I am very discouraged with this gym. I love the concept, but I've been going there for over a year and have seen so many changes, there actually is no consistancy, including the managers (I have seen 3 come and go), the trainers (I have seen at least 6 come and go, I have lost count) and there is a new manager now, Nancy, who never introduced herself to us, she was either working out herself on the machines or on the phone. She never asked any of us how we were doing, or made appointments with us to go over nutrition. She seems extremely self absorbed. Josh, the previous manager, was excellent when he trained us, and cared about us and our nutrition. Admittingly, he wasn't in the gym too often, but when he was, we always got a welcoming "hello, how are you doing? You look great!" He wanted us to succeed, I don't see this from Nancy.

I have been going to In Shape since the end of January of this year. This has literally transformed my life. I have been challenged beyond what I thought I could do. I have stayed committed because the trainers care, follow up with you and the attention you receive and the results you receive equal nothing that I have tried in the past. I lose between 1 to 2 lbs a week. I recently vacationed in Mexico, I was weighed that Monday and I lost 2 lbs, then again on Friday another 1lb. They literally have changed my way of looking at food without counting calories. I am so much more aware of what I should eat, what I should avoid and that having a treat once in a while is perfectly fine. In the past if I cheated on a diet, I would have a hard time starting again. Not now, this has literally transformed me. I have lost more weight in a shorter amount of time and I actually look forward to going there as the atmosphere is warm and friendly and it is not like a big gym where they have no clue of who you are and what you want to achieve. Having a personal trainer is someting I only could dream of having. I have it now at a much lower cost because you are training with either 1, 2 or 3 other women. Now I cannot think of ever joining another gym. The trainers are top notch and their attitude is refreshing, encouraging and they or should I say you get results!!!!

I have been a member of this studio for over 6 months now. There have been changes in staff, but I think they've been for the better. The managers and trainers challenge me with workouts of increasing difficulty and continue to work with me on meal plans. The team really cares about the members here. The GISFW program has been the only one thats worked for me. I've lost 25 lbs and kept it off. I would highly recommend this studio.

Things have changed at this studio since Jeanne's review. Tricia is gone - replaced with all male trainers. Christine is gone - replaced with a male manager who is so full of himself no-one else matters. The Owners don't seem to care since they are totally MIA!!!! Things have definitely changed and NOT for the better! Take your business elsewhere!

I joined Get In Shape for Women's Dedham location in January. I am so very impressed with the people who work there and with the program they have set up. They are knowledgeable, friendly and very committed to what they do. I joined with the goal of loosing weight and inches and I did, but I gained some new friendships, some great recipe's and many tips and tricks to help keep me on the track to healthy.
