I have been a member of this club for many years and although it is a pretty decent facility, they are constantly behind on what is "new" and "upcoming" in the fitness industry. They offer the same classes that they had 10 years ago (Body Pump, Yoga, Arms & Abs) There is little to no variety. You often see the trainers sitting around on their phones or computers and are never paying attention to members. The best group exercise staff that they have are only PT employees. (Spin & Zumba mostly)
I was disgusted to hear that one of their best instructors was let go because she was teaching additional classes at a smaller facility. She was by far the best person that they had and I credit my weight loss from taking her classes. They are ruthless and will get rid of anyone but they don't focus on the real issues of the club: unhappy members, dirty bathrooms and terrible trainers.
As they continue to raise the membership rates, I suggest looking into a more modern facility for your money. I know I am!

I am not putting my name in fear of my membership being revoked. The post below is exactly the atmosphere that Dedham Health currently possesses. I have repeatedly emailed the group fitness manager as well as spoken to trainers in person about the quality of the classes. They also overcharge you to take "specialty" classes like TRX that are typically $30 at the local YMCA. I wish they would get it together before people leave.
The poor quality of classes also reflects upon the instructors. Some, not all, are more concerned with getting their own workout in rather than monitoring the participants. The instructors are inconsistent and the dress code is a bit inappropriate. One trainer in particular is always dressed inappropriately and it makes some members uncomfortable.
