What to Do in Dedham this Holiday Weekend

Veterans Day

The Dedham Middle School will start the holiday weekend off with a ceremony for all military veterans at 8:30 a.m. Friday in their auditorium. Last year,  Students honored local veterans with song, speeches and a presentation of colors at the annual Veterans Day assembly at the school’s auditorium.

The Town of Dedham will celebrate Veterans Day this year with the dedication of a new Korean War Memorial at the Brookedale Cemetery. The memorial will be installed this week at the cemetery and will be unveiled in front of veterans on Monday at 10 a.m.  The public is invited.

Oakdale Elementary Vendor Night

This weekend - Friday, Nov. 8th, from 6-10pm - the American Legion Post at 155 Eastern Ave. in Dedham, will host the First Annual Oakdale Elementary "Vendor Night." There will be 30 vendors at the school including: local jewelers, artists and crafters, along with items from Tupperware, Avon, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Stella & Dot, Wild Tree Herbs, Arbonne, Pink Zebra, Tastefully Simple, Discovery Toys, Silpada, and many, many others. There will also be a cash bar, raffles, and silent auctions.  All of the proceeds will benefit the Oakdale Elementary School.

Karaoke

Karaoke will be held at Kings on Friday evening at 9 p.m.

All You Can Eat

Bamboo in Dedham offers an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet on Saturday - Sunday 11:30am - 2:30pm.  They also offer a Sunday Dinner buffet - 5:00 pm to 8:00pm

Sobriety Checkpoint

Buzzed drivers beware.  There will be a Sobriety Checkpoint this weekend in Norfolk County.
