Grammy Performer To Play in Dedham This Weekend

The young artist performed alongside Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Josh Grobon, Herbie Hancock, and Andrea Bocelli and now he will perform in Dedham.

Eight months ago he was performing at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, now Kendall Ramseur will bring his tunes to the Paradise Café in Dedham.

Ramseur described the Grammy’s as an unreal experience.  The young artist performed alongside Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Josh Grobon, Herbie Hancock, and Andrea Bocelli.  While walking around the Staple Center,  he saw all sorts of musical celebrities including Jay-Z.

“It was just huge to perform with all of those  artists,” Ramseur said.  "They were all amazing."

“My music is inspirational,” Ramseur said.  “  What we are being presented with now on the radio and in the media in general- there’s a lot of negativity and not much inspiration.  So that’s what my music offers.”

Ramseur said his music falls under many different genres including classical, pop, R& B and soul.  Some even have a folk twist.

“I try to use as many genres as I can,” he said.  “It’s not a conscious decision.  It’s whatever flows out of my heart. If you go through all the songs on my albums, you will be changed.  It will inspire those to live a more fulfilled life, one that will consist of loving deeper and not being so judgmental.”

Ramseur is currently on a New England tour and has never been to Dedham but is excited about to perform at the Paradise Café.  The songwriter said he became interested with the café’ because they feature artists who write their own music.

Ramseur will be performing live at the Paradise Cafe on Friday, October 18 from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
