Win $5,000 at 24th Annual Dedham Day (Cow Plop) on Sunday

Juliette the Cow will plop and someone will win $5,000! Dedham is awesome!


If you're looking for some great family fun, on Sunday, the 24th annual Dedham Day (Cow Plop) is being held by the Dedham Parks & Recreation Department at Barnes Memorial Field.

Starting at noon there will be a BBQ, rides, games, music, face painting, crafts and demonstrations along with the annual cow plop.

Dedham Day Deeds are currently being sold by Dedham Parks & Recreation employees, or at the Dolan Center Recreation office at 269 Common St.  Deeds are being sold for $10 a "deed" that gives you the opportunity to win the annual cow plop for anywhere between $500 to $5,000. In case it rains, a rain date of Sun., Oct. 20, has been scheduled incase of inclement weather.

Wondering what the cow plop is? A field will be laid out and lined into 3,000 "deeded" one square yard plots. At 2 p.m., Juliette the Cow, will be lead onto the field to "fertilize" it. 

If Juliette the Cow plops on your deed the prizes are as followed:

1st prize: $5,000; 2nd Prize: $2,500; 3rd Prize: 1,000; and 4th Prize: $500.

All proceeds will be used to support Park & Recreation Programs that are not funded by the Town of Dedham.
