Transportation Advisory and Finance Committees Meet This Week 

There are two government meetings this week:

The Transportation Advisory Committee meets Monday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m., in the Francis O'Brien Room, in Town Hall.

The Finance Committee meets Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m., in the Lower Conference Room in Town Hall.

Vacancies: Conservation Commission and Council on Aging

There are currently two vacancies in Dedham. There is an opening for one member on the Council on Aging Board. This is a one-year term. Interested candidates must respond to the Town Administrator between Jan. 10 and Jan. 20.

There is also an opening for a three-year term on the Conservation Commission. Interested parties should contact the Board of Selectmen office between Jan. 5 through Jan. 15. 

Parenting Classes

New or future parents have a great opportunity to learn to care for their newest family member at a FREE, hour-long "Baby Basics" class, on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 7 p.m., at Babies R Us, in Dedham. The class will be led by Harvard Vanguard pediatrician Dr. Demetra Panomitros, who will review routine care, such as bathing, swaddling, changing diapers and more. sign up at the Toys R Us store in advance.
